Not sure why dance music producer/DJ Igor Tchkotoua goes by the name Pig, but he does have a voracious way with beats, as does his partner, Dan Duncan. Pig & Dan, as they’re known, will prove it at their first-ever L.A. club gig at Circus this Saturday, with no less than four hours of happy, hypnotic and heavy dance sounds meshing drum & bass influences with progressive techno textures, as heard on their latest Cocoon recordings release, Imagine. You won’t have to imagine what it’s like to party all night at famed spots in Spain and the U.K. when these two get goin’; they’re regulars in both countries, and happen to be up for “best newcomers” at the DJ Awards in Ibiza at the end of this month. Also at Circus, the Compression room offers groove density from Robert Pointer, Luis Rosario and Belarto, and The Loft becomes a house haven with Darwin Paul, Avenue 66, Mon Maramba and DJ Esther. Hog it up. Circus, 6655 Santa Monica Blvd., Hlywd.; Sat., Sept. 22, 9 p.m.-4 a.m.; over 21. (323) 692-3533.
