44-Year-Old Woman Dead in Hit-and-Run near Civic Drive

WALNUT CREEK, CA (October 6, 2022) – Saturday night, Chung Thu Le was killed after a hit-and-run on North California Boulevard.

The fatal incident happened on October 1st, just before 7:15 p.m., on North California Boulevard.

According to reports, Le was crossing the street, when a vehicle, described as a gold or tan four-door sedan, struck her. The driver of the involved vehicle then fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim.

When medical responders arrived at the scene, they found Le with serious injuries and transported her to a local hospital for treatment. However, her injuries were too severe, and medics at the hospital pronounced 44-year-old Chung Thu Le dead, due to the extent of her condition.

At this time, Walnut Creek Police Department is asking anyone with information about the hit-and-run driver to contact 925-935-6400.
