Traffic Collision near Willow Street Left One Fatality

LONG BEACH, CA (July 19, 2022) – On Monday morning, a fatal crash on 710 Freeway claimed the life of Christopher Yuhas.

The accident occurred just after 5:30 a.m. on the northbound lanes of Interstate 710, near Willow Street. According to California Highway Patrol, the collision happened when a pickup-truck hit the center divider, near Willow Street, killing one person.

As a result, responding officials closed two of the northbound lanes on the freeway for cleanup and preliminary duties.

At this time, the circumstances surrounding the crash are being investigated by the Long Beach Police Department.

The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office later identified the deceased victim as 40-year-old Christopher Yuhas of Fullerton.
