33-Year-Old Man Dead, 19-Year-Old Christopher Roman Arrested after Hit-and-Run Accident near Pennsylvania Avenue

COLTON, CA (January 11, 2023) – Early Saturday morning, police tracked down and arrested Christopher Roman after hitting and killing a pedestrian.

The incident happened at around 1:25 a.m., December 24th, when police received reports and responded near the intersection of West “C” Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.

According to authorities, officers arrived at the scene and found a 33-year-old man unconscious on the highway.

Furthermore, police have yet to release the identity of the pedestrian, pending the notification of the next of kin.

Meanwhile, the driver involved, later identified as 19-year-old Roman, was seen fleeing the scene and drove westbound on C Street.

Consequently, police later located Roman he was arrested and booked into West Valley Detention Center on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and DUI charges.

Colton authorities will release additional information as it becomes available.
