Hit-And-Run Driver Injures Oakdale Police Officer

OAKDALE, CA (August 6, 2021) – Police arrested Christopher Milchen for hit-and-run last Friday after injuring an Oakdale police officer.

Around noon, deputies received reports of a man slumped over the driver’s seat in a parking lot along East F Street.

Upon arrival, responding officers located and attempted to speak with the driver through its side door. However, the driver woke up and immediately drove the car in reverse.

As a result, one of the responding officers got pinned down on the opened driver’s side door, dragging him for about 30 feet.

Then, Milchen got out of his car near Sierra Road and fled on foot.

Later on, police identified the hit-and-run driver as 36-year-old Christopher Milchen and charged him with attempted murder.

Officer Stewart sustained minor injuries and was released from the hospital within a few hours.

Once available, more information will be released.
