33-Year-Old Cyclist Fatally Struck by Pickup-Truck near Camino De Oeste

TUCSON, AZ (November 21, 2022) – Early Saturday morning, Christopher Lozano was fatally struck by Jason Duenas on Valenicia Road.

The incident happened around 3:00 a.m., near the intersection of West Valencia Road and South Camino De Oeste on November 5th.

According to reports, Lozano was riding a bicycle in the area when a pickup-truck, driven by 21-year-old Duenas struck him. The impact of the collision left Lozano with serious injuries.

Emergency responders arrived shortly after and performed life-saving efforts on Lozano but his condition was too severe. Officials later pronounced 33-year-old Lozano dead at the scene.

During preliminary duties, police say Duenas showed signs of impairment. He was arrested with DUI charges and manslaughter.
