Updated at the bottom: Apparently Dorner had messages for many, including Charlie Sheen, Tim Tebow and even disgraced Cardinal Roger Mahony. First posted at 3:04 p.m.

Of all the crazy news swirling around the search for alleged murderer Christopher Dorner, including the LAPD's accidental shooting this morning of two women in a truck that looked like the suspect's, this one takes the cake.

Anderson Cooper today said he got a package from Dorner.

A very odd and alarming package.

Cooper took to Twitter to announce that he believes he got a package from the ex-LAPD officer believed by authorities to be on a murderous rampage in a twisted reaction to his 2008 firing from the department.

According to the CNN personality, Dorner sent him a package withe a note, a DVD and a coin that had been shot:

Of course, what we really want to know it's what's on the DVD and what's in the note.

[Update at 3:28 p.m.]: TMZ reports that Dorner sent messages to many notables, including Charlie Sheen, Tim Tebow, Ellen DeGeneres, Anthony Bourdain and Cardinal Roger Mahony. A sample:

Cardinal Mahoney [sic], you are in essence a predator yourself as you enabled your subordinates to molest multiple children in the church over many decades. May you die a long and slow painful death.
