Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Deadly Crash on Flamingo Road

LAS VEGAS, NV (June 3, 2022) – Early Wednesday morning, Christopher Bustillos was arrested after a fatal pedestrian crash on Jones Boulevard.

The incident happened around 2:25 a.m., just south of Flamingo Road. Dispatchers arrived to the 4400 block of South Jones Boulevard shortly after.

Per reports, the driver of a southbound 2010 Ford Mustang hit the woman in the travel lane near West University Avenue. Upon impact, the driver fled the scene without rendering aid to the pedestrian.

Meanwhile, medics pronounced the 22-year-old female pedestrian dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released her identity.

Officers later found and arrested Bustillos after he was determined to be driving while impaired. Police booked him with DUI and hit-and-run charges.

Investigators say Bustillos is currently in custody at Clark County Detention Center. At this time, an active investigation into the crash is underway.
