Vehicle Collision on Southbound Highway 49 Left One Fatality
ALTA SIERRA, CA (December 22, 2021) – Christie Hoffmier died in a crash on southbound Highway 49 Sunday afternoon.
Officers said the crash happened around 2 p.m.
Furthermore, reports said Hoffmier was riding southbound with her husband in a 2021 Harley behind a 2007 Honda Civic moments before the crash.
Consequently, the motorcycle then tried to pass the Honda. However, it collided with the car’s left side, which sent it across the north lane before it overturned.
Due to the crash, her husband also sustained serious injuries.
Despite live-saving efforts, 62 Year-old Hoffmier died at the scene due to the extent of her condition.
No further details regarding the accidents are public at this time; however, more information will be provided once made available.
