19-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck by Semi-Truck near Carroll Canyon Road

SAN DIEGO, CA (May 9, 2022) – Sunday morning, 19-year-old Christian Soriano was killed in a pedestrian crash on Interstate 15.

The collision happened on the shoulder of the northbound freeway near Carroll Canyon Road around 5:30 a.m.

Investigators later revealed that Soriano was hit by a white semi-truck while walking in the lanes of Interstate 15. Eventually, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

In addition, the driver of the semi-truck stayed at the scene to cooperate with authorities. Although, crews have not yet released their name or place of residency.

Emergency crews have not released any further information about the fatal accident on Interstate 15 at this time. However, an active investigation is still currently underway.
