Driver Charged after Hit-and-Run Accident on Asilomar Avenue

PACIFIC GROVE, CA (June 24, 2022) – Monday afternoon, authorities arrested Christian Aleman Medina following a DUI Crash on Pico Avenue.

According to police, officers apprehended Medina around 3:00 p.m., near Asilomar Avenue. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.

Per reports, the driver of an RV vehicle struck a pedestrian, a bicyclist, and multiple vehicles. Afterward, authorities arrested Medina near Pico and Asilomar where Medina stopped.

Police took the suspect to Monterey County Jail where he faces DUI, felony hit-and-run with injury, multiple misdemeanor hit-and-runs, felony evading a peace officer, and driving with a suspended license.

At this time, the total number of injuries from the crash remains unclear.
