8-Year-Old Boy Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash near Toberman Street
PICO UNION, CA (June 23, 2023) – Saturday late afternoon, a two-vehicle crash on Washington Boulevard claimed the life of an 8-year-old boy. The accident happened around 5:08 p.m. on June 3rd at Washington Boulevard and Toberman Street. According to the CHP, for unknown reasons, the female driver of a vehicle entered the lane and hit the stationary container. Responding paramedics took the child and the woman to a local hospital for treatment, however, police have not identified the victims. Officials later acknowledged that the young victim had died as a result of his wounds while the woman’s condition is reported as stable. Authorities urge any witnesses with information about the deadly crash to call their local offices as soon as possible. Furthermore, both directions of the roadway were temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
