Street Racing Accident on Fresno Street and Normal Avenue Sent 5-Year-Old Child to Hospital

FRESNO, CA (August 23, 2021) Last Thursday afternoon, a street racing crash on Fresno Street sent a 5-year-old to the hospital.

The accident happened around 5:00 p.m. on Fresno Street and Normal Avenue.

According to officers, the two racing vehicles were traveling southbound from Fresno and Clinton when one of the race cars collided with a third car pulling out onto the same street.

The vehicle that did not collide with the third vehicle, according to police, fled the scene.

Responding officers stated at least one vehicle contained children who were transported to the hospital. There were no other serious injuries reported.

Further information about the wreck has not been made public, but an active investigation is underway.
