Hit-and-Run Accident in Lorene Drive Left 9-Year-Old Girl Injured

VICTORVILLE, CA (November 22, 2022) – Early Saturday evening, a 9-year-old girl was hospitalized following a hit-and-run on 7th Street.

The incident happened on November 19th, at around 5:45 p.m., in the city of Victorville between East Sand Street and Lorene Drive.

According to reports, the young girl was walking in the area with her two younger siblings and her aunt. A vehicle traveling on the road then struck the young girl. Following the collision, the driver of the involved vehicle left the scene without stopping to render aid to the injured victim.

First responders arrived shortly after and found the aunt holding the child. Paramedics then transported the child to Victor Valley Global Medical Center and later airlifted her to Loma Linda University Medical Center.

Following the collision, the Victorville Police Department shut down 7th Street to investigate the incident.

No additional details regarding the 7th Street hit-and-run have been released to the public. Victorville Officials will provide more information once available.
