Owner Cited after Three Dogs Attacked a Child on Bridge Street

WINNEMUCCA, NV (April 6, 2023) – Friday, a child sustained serious injuries after three dogs attacked him on Bridge Street. The incident happened on February 24th, as the 4-year-old boy was walking in the the area with his mother. According to reports, two of the dogs dragged the boy away from his mother. They began to attack him while a third dog prevented the mother from getting to her child. Passersby saw what was happening and helped by chasing off the dogs. The owner was then able to gain control of his dogs and secured them in his truck. Emergency crews responded to the scene and paramedics transported the child Humbolt General Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Meanwhile, the owner was cited for having vicious, dangerous, and aggressive animals. Injuries sustained from a dog bite can be life-threatening.
