Chicago's premier industrial/EBM festival, Cold Waves, which started initially as a memorial and fundraiser for suicide-prevention charities, has been a staple of the genre since its inception in 2012. For the first time, the much-loved festival made its way to Los Angeles as a two-day event held Nov. 10 and 11 at the Regent Theater in DTLA. The lineup boasted many luminaries and pioneers of the industrial and EBM genres as well as newer acts, including Revolting Cocks, Front Line Assembly, Meat Beat Manifesto, Stabbing Westward, MC 900 Ft. Jesus, 16Volt, Cubanate, Kanga, Ascension of the Watchers and many more.
