Woman Killed in Three-Car Accident on Gateway Drive in Yuma
YUMA, AZ (January 13, 2022) – Cherie Boyle died Thursday morning following a semi-truck collision on West 16th Street.
According to police, Boyle was driving a Toyota FRS on West 16th Street. As she turned left from 16th Street onto Gateway Drive, she collided with an oncoming Chevy Cruze.
Upon impact, the Toyota swerved into another lane and was hit by a passing semi-truck. Paramedics responded and pronounced 60-year-old Boyle dead at the scene, due to the extent of her condition.
The driver of Chevy Cruze, a 20-year-old woman, was taken to YRMC hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
At this time, impairment does not appear to be a factor in the incident.
An active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. Once available, further details will be provided.
