Opening this summer on the strip, Resorts World Las Vegas has announced its massive dining and cocktail portfolio which includes first-to-market restaurants, chef-driven dining, quick-service options and other original concepts developed by Genting Berhad and Resorts World Las Vegas. And yes, there will be some L.A. migrants as well.

A welcome sight, Broken Spanish chef Ray Garcia will be opening ¡VIVA!, with a return of his modern take on regional Mexican cuisine we’ve so sorely missed. In other sweet news, Craig’s Vegan Ice Cream will be bringing signature flavors including Melrose Mint Chip, Sunset & Strawberry, Killa’ Vanilla and Perfectly Chocolate to a scoop shop at the resort and Wally’s Wine & Spirits will open their third location, integrating a restaurant with a wine bar and their famous gourmet market.

Other highlights will include the Starlight on 66 lounge with expansive views of the 66 floors above the neon lights. Expect leather couches, mahogany paneled walls and an art collection from around the world.  Modern Japanese bistro Kusa Nori will combine  a high-energy sushi bar and teppanyaki grills,  serving classic and new dishes  including yakitori and teppanyaki creations, plus an extensive selection of sake.

There will be four poolside food and beverage options across the 5.5-acre pool complex including Agave Bar & Grill, serving Mediterranean fare and grilled seafood dishes; Bites, a snack bar located at the family pool on the east side of the pool deck; and two full-service bars one of which will feature life-sized Jenga and cornhole, located on the east side of the pool complex and the other overlooking the resort’s stunning infinity-edge pool.

Closer to home, Milo & Olive’s Easter Market is this Saturday, April 3 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. They’ll be selling Easter Baskets, tea towels and aprons from Heather Taylor Home and Kelsey Brito and her team of bakers are selling hot cross buns, whole gluten-free carrot cakes, vegan crumb cakes and strawberry-rhubarb brioche doughnuts.

Also at the market, Black Women Lead are collecting hygiene kits for unhoused neighbors on Skid Row as well as first aid kits, toiletries, new socks and Easter baskets for kids. The restaurant will donate 5% of sales to the L.A. chapter of Asian Americans Advancing Justice.

SteelCraft, the outdoor urban eatery built using repurposed shipping containers with locations in Long Beach, Bellflower and Garden Grove has added Modern Filipino Kitchen to its Bellflower location which offers Filipino soul food as well as the MFK Burger, which includes a corned beef smash patty, garlic aioli, fried egg and lechon bacon. Artisanal pizzeria concept Pizza Playa,  from Long Beach locals Marci and Christopher Gentzkow, will land in the same location later this spring.
