Doing a complete 180 from its popular Flamin’ Hot version, Cheetos is introducing a new limited-edition cinnamon-sugar flavor called Cheetos Sweetos.

They just had to, right?

The new limited-edition flavor will be sold starting in mid-February at stores across the United States. It is the first and only time Cheetos has made a sweet version of its iconic crunchy puff in the brand’s 67-year history. With Chester sporting bunny ears and carrying an Easter basket, it's likely parent company Frito-Lay is eyeing the kids' market with these. Rather than the signature random squiggle shape, Sweetos look like a cross between a donut and a flattened cinnamon bun.

It’s a long way from the sharp-cheddar taste Chester Cheetah craves. But in this brave new world of chocolate-cherry Twinkies, red velvet Oreos and pecan pie Pringles, it kind of makes sense. (Sister-brand Lay's had great success with its chocolate-dipped potato chips in 2013.)

Cheetos Sweetos will come in 7-ounce bags for a suggested retail price of $3.49. Whether they go the way of Taco Bell’s Cinnamon Crispas is up to you.
