Besha RodellIt's basically always oyster season in Los Angeles, where we're lucky enough to have the bounty of the cold Pacific and are able to enjoy it year-round. But for those of us raised with the adage that you should only eat oysters in months ending in “r,” November still feels like the beginning of oyster season.
Oysters are a worthy luxury, one of those things that it's almost better to pay more for because then you (hopefully) know you're getting quality. But we love a deal as much as the next guy, and we're thrilled that many of the city's best purveyors of bivalves have deals in which you can get $1 or half-price oysters at some point during the week. In fact, there are now so many of these deals going on that it's possible to find one any day of the week. Monday
Barbrix: $1 oysters at the bar on Mondays, with three different varieties to choose from. 6 p.m.-midnight or whenever they run out. From 6-7:30 p.m. you can also get half-price wines by the glass. 2442 Hyperion Ave., Silver Lake. 323-662-2442.

Tuesday

Wednesday
The Churchill: $1 oysters from 6 p.m.-midnight every Wednesday. 8384 W 3rd St, West Hollywood. 323-655-8384.
Thursday
Cliff's Edge: $1 oysters on Thursdays from 6-7 p.m. 3626 Sunset Blvd. 323-666-6116.

Friday
Littlefork: Littlefork actually has $1.50 oysters every day of the week, on weekdays from 5-7 p.m., and on Friday and Saturday from 10 p.m.-close. You have to sit at the bar to get the deal, and you can also get bottles of Molson for $1.50. 1600 Wilcox Ave., Hollywood. 323-465-3675.
Saturday
EMC Seafood: Again, this is a daily deal, but unlike many other daily deals it does not disappear on weekends. From 4-7 p.m. every day, including Saturday, get $1 oysters. There's also a late night happy hour from 10 p.m.-close, but that is day-discriminatory and only runs from Sun.-Thurs. 3500 W. 6th St. #101, Koreatown. 213-351-9988.
Sunday
Faith and Flower: From 5-6:30 p.m. Sun.-Thurs., get $1 oysters at the bar. There are also $8 cocktails. 705 West 9th Street, downtown. 213-239-0642.
