Fred Segal has announced their holiday dessert pop-up at its Sunset flagship location. For a limited time, some of L.A.’s popular dessert eateries will be featured in their own weekend-long pop-up. Starting Saturday, November 27, and running through December 18, the dessert pop-ups will be open Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. where shoppers can indulge in sweets. Here’s the lineup:

  • November 27 – Laroolou – Run by a husband and wife duo, the eatery is known for their best-selling pies that are inspired by the people they know and the places they’ve been.
  • December 4 – Giovanni’s Tiramisu – Serving L.A. authentic tiramisu made by 37-year-old master-chef and father, Giovanni Bolla.
  • December 11 – Domi – Modern, Asian-inspired dessert studio founded in NYC by two pastry chefs with Michelin starred, fine dining backgrounds who wanted to eat delicious pastries inspired by their childhood memories and travels.
  • December 18 – Flouring LA – Run by chef Heather Wong specializing in pastries made only using sustainably sourced, organic ingredients from local farmers and vendors.

For the duration of the holiday dessert programming, Fred Segal will be giving a portion of dessert sales to the Priceless Planet Coalition, a non-profit organization that aims to preserve the environment through the restoration of 100 million trees in five years. 

England’s leading sparkling wine, Chapel Down, has touched down in Los Angeles. Get your first taste at Chapel Down’s ‘70s-themed pop-up series held at DTLA’s underground high-tea bar, Lilly Rose. Dance the night away with live music, sip on hand-crafted English sparkling wine cocktails and nibble on whimsical bites. Every Friday from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. until the end of the year. Chapel Down holds the crown as the #1 winery in the UK, reportedly served at Buckingham Palace and The Royal Wedding. Chapel Down produces a complete range of English sparkling wines using the same method used in Champagne, with fruit sourced from the South-East of England. 

TATEL Beverly Hills has opened its outdoor patio, which is open for lunch and Sunday brunch. The all-day menu along with lunch specials includes vegan, roasted chicken, grilled salmon and sesame-crusted tuna bowls as well as vegetarian, smoked turkey and open-face steak sandwiches. Sunday brunch will be served from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. 

Art of Tea, the L.A.-based tea purveyor behind the tea programs at the Getty, Huntington Gardens, LACMA as well as restaurants and cafes across town, is hosting a holiday pop-up at Platform in Culver City for the month of December. In addition to an extensive selection of tea and tea products, curated by Art of Tea founder and master tea blender Steve Schwartz, they’ll be utilizing the space to showcase other L.A. producers including Brightland, Morrow Soft Goods and Eunbi Ceramics.
