Two Hospitalized after DUI Wrong-Way Accident near Soscol Ferry Road

NAPA, CA (February 4, 2022) – A head-on collision on Highway 29 left Chantika Caston and Erwin Castillo hospitalized, Friday evening.

According to California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle crash occurred around 11:36 p.m., in the southbound lanes of the highway just north of Soscol Ferry Road.

Per reports, 28-year-old Caston, of Fairfield was driving a 2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse north in the left southbound lane of the freeway. Meanwhile, 51-year-old Castillo, of Benicia was driving a southbound 2015 Lexus IS250.

There, the two vehicles collided head-on. Paramedics arrived and transported both drivers to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center for further treatment.

California Highway Patrol officers said Chantika Caston was believed to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident. Although, no further details regarding the collision are public at this time.
