Male Pedestrian Struck by Two Vehicles near Lower Wyandotte Road

BUTTE COUNTY, CA (October 11, 2022) – Early Tuesday morning, Chad Henderson was fatally struck in a hit-and-run on Las Plumas Avenue.

The incident happened on October 4th around 5:30 a.m., near Las Plumas High School.

Per reports, Henderson was struck by a white sedan that then fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim. After seeing Henderson lying in the middle of the road, several other drivers stopped, put on their hazards, and called 911.

The driver of a 2020 Nissan Frontier pickup-truck tried to drive around the stopped vehicles and struck Henderson, causing fatal injuries.

Shortly after, responding officials declared 47-year-old Henderson, of Oroville dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the Nissan driver was not charged for the incident.
