30-Year-Old Speeding Rider Fatally Struck in Motorcycle Crash near South B Street
MOSES LAKE, WA (August 2, 2023) – Monday morning, Celton Kimmel was killed in a speeding motorcycle collision on West Broadway.
Police responded to the scene around 11:30 a.m., at the 1100 block of West Broadway near South B Street on July 31st.
Officers say Kimmel was heading west on a motorcycle while veering in and out of traffic lanes at a high rate of speed. Meanwhile, a woman driving a Subaru was pulling out of a business onto West Broadway.
There, the two vehicles collided. Paramedics arrived shortly after and transported 30-year-old Kimmel to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, the 65-year-old Subaru driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Police did not issue any citations or charges.
Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Once available, further details will be provided.
