Starting today, Connie and Ted’s in West Hollywood will begin offering their signature seafood offerings for take-out and pick-up via Tock. Chef Michael Cimarusti’s seafood eatery will premiere a new takeout menu inspired by the classic clam shacks, oyster bars and fish houses of New England and will feature Jo’s Wicked Good Chowda, lobster rolls and the signature Hook Burger. Available for pickup daily from Tuesday through Saturday, prepaid pickup is available for parties of up to 10. Link to order HERE.

Saturday, May 2
The “A Night in with FEAST” virtual cook-along will raise money with a cast of top culinary talent who will echo one of the core pillars of feast — food education — and demonstrate virtual recipes this weekend in a dinner party-like setting. FEAST’s mission is to promote health and wellness through nutritious food and will feature Julia Sherman, Aliya LeeKong, Keri Glassman and more alongside a toast from Tom Colicchio and a cocktail by Redbird’s Tobin Shea. FEAST hopes to raise funds that will provide more than 20,000 pounds of produce, $25,000 worth of food scholarships and thousands of meals to families facing food insecurity in the coming months in Los Angeles and New York City.
Monday, May 4
Grimaldi’s Pizzeria will honor teachers and nurses nationwide with its annual appreciation week. Beginning Monday, May 4 through Friday, May 8, teachers and nurses will receive 15 percent off any meal purchase at Grimaldi’s with school or hospital ID.
Tuesday, May 5
Starting May 1, SOL Cocina customers can call to pre-order their Cinco de Mayo Fiesta kit party packs or order online for free delivery on May 5. For $65, the Cinco de Mayo Pack can feed three to five people and includes:
- Street taco 6-pack (choice of 3 pairs of: grilled chicken, carnitas or black bean sweet potato)
- Naked guacamole
- TJ Caesar salad with chicken
- House margarita pitcher
- Cinco de Mayo swag (pre-orders get first priority and Cinco swag is on a first come, first serve basis).
SOL Cocina will be open from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. on Cinco de Mayo for curbside no-contact pickup or complimentary delivery when ordering online on the Sol Cocina website.

In addition to LOQUI’s regular menu offerings available for pickup and delivery via Chownow, Postmates and Caviar, LOQUI in Culver City and DTLA, they will also be offering a Cinco de Mayo Family Meal with optional drink add on —available for pre-order now for pickup only on May 5. The meal kit comes with banner decorations, one paper centerpiece flower and Mexican candy and is served with choice of two proteins (chicken, mushroom, pork or beef) rice, beans, a dozen flour tortillas, guacamole, chips, cilantro, purple onion, cotija cheese, salsa roja, chips and salsa. The drink add-on is your choice of one bottle of Summer Water wine or six beers.

For National Nurses Day, Dunkin’ of Southern California is offering a free medium hot or iced coffee and a free donut — no purchase necessary — to all healthcare workers while supplies last. Dunkin’ also recently launched an online gift card site, DunkinCoffeeBreak.com, so that guests can send a Dunkin’ eGift Card to thank a doctor, nurse, first responder, teacher, grocery clerk, postal worker, neighbor or any hero in their life. For every card purchased at this site, Dunkin’ will donate $1, up to $100,000, to the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation emergency funds, specifically for non-profits helping families affected by COVID-19.
