If there’s a silver lining to the coronavirus cloud on Mother’s Day this year, it’s not having to stand in line for brunch or the stress of trying to find a parking space and maybe not even having to put on makeup.  Here’s a list of a new ways to celebrate mom safer at home — either together or from afar — in a pandemic year.

The Redbird Mother’s Day Breakfast in Bed experience includes all of the following for two for $38 per person from Chef Neal Fraser and team: local strawberry financiers, beet salad, house cured salmon and a choice of quiche with asparagus, spring onion, mushroom and gruyere, chicken thighs with pistachios and golden raisins or Basque beef stew with soft eggs, morcilla, potatoes and piquilloes. A yuzu bar with blackberries, graham crackers and meringue is for dessert.

Extras that can be added on include DIY mimosas, Bloody Marys, and bottled signature cocktails and 40 percent off a select wine list.  Pickup is available Saturday evening to then heat and serve up to celebrate mom on Sunday morning.
