Multiple Vehicles Collided and Resulted with 3 Fatalities and Multiple Injuries
WHITEWATER, CA (June 21, 2023) – Sunday morning, Cecilia Villalobos and two young girls died in a multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 10. The incident happened on May 14th, at around 7:30 a.m., on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 near Haugen Lehmann Way. According to reports, a collision between a Tesla Model 3 and a Chevrolet Suburban was reported to have occurred in the area. The two vehicles crashed in the No. 02 lane of the freeway and the Suburban crashed into a center divider and rolled over. As a result, the crash ejected six occupants of the Suburban from the vehicle and partly ejected one occupant. Unfortunately, 31-year-old Cecilia Villalobos, and a 10-year-old and 12-year-old girl, died at the scene. Four other passengers sustained injuries: a 3-year-old, 7-year-old, 11-year-old girls, and a 15-year-old boy. Additionally, the 39-year-old driver and the passenger of the Suburban suffered serious injuries.
