What makes cbdMD different from all the other brands out there? Well, their prices for one thing.
Up until last year (October 2022), cbdMD could have been described as just another premium CBD brand, offering high quality products with a hefty price-tag. Their products, admittedly, are clean, safe, and effective, so if you could afford them then you had every reason to buy them.
However, in October last year cbdMD made some changes that disrupted the entire industry. They slashed their standard prices by up to 52%, apparently because they want more potent, quality CBD to be accessible to everyone.
It sounds crazy, but it’s true!

cbdMD product reviews
Hailing from North Carolina, cbdMD offers a great selection of broad-spectrum and full-spectrum CBD products. I would usually recommend full-spectrum products over broad-spectrum every time because THC has been proven to enhance the entourage effect time and time again.
However, if you live in a zero-tolerance state (for THC, that is) or are worried about trace THC showing up in a drug test, then products with broad-spectrum hemp extracts will be the next best thing.
cbdMD gummies review
While most other brands are offering between 10 and 25 mg of CBD per serving, cbdMD’s gummies start at 50mg per serving and then increase to 100 mg and 200 mg (per serving) in strength. Their highest-dose full-spectrum gummies are priced at just $90 (for 60 x 100 mg gummies).
I’ve already done the math folks. This works out at an astonishing $1.50 per gummy or 0.015c per milligram of CBD. Elsewhere, you’ll be paying this (or more) for a 25mg gummy! And I’m telling you, you’re not sacrificing quality here either and they have a certificate of analysis on each product page on their website to prove it.
Their broad-spectrum CBD options include 750 mg Calming and Sleep Aid gummies, which contain 12.5 mg per gummy (25 mg per serving) and they also have a 1,500 mg (CBD-only) option. All of these are on sale at the moment, so I wonder if cbdMD are planning on discontinuing this line? Just in case, if you’re interested in broad spectrum gummies then I recommend getting them while you can at the low rate of just $40 for 750 mg or $60 for the 1,500 mg pot of gummies.
On the full-spectrum side of things, their potency options include a 50 mg, 100 mg,or 200 mg serving option, but the higher dose is based on two gummies per serving so you can easily halve that dose if you prefer.
What more can I say about their gummies apart from the fact you won’t be disappointed? I’ve tasted a lot of CBD gummies over the years and I’m not going to lie by saying that these are my favorite tasting, but they are still very delicious with good natural flavors and a good texture. But best of all, they’re super effective and incredibly affordable!
cbdMD oil review
Like their other products, cbdMD CBD oil tinctures come in a choice of broad and full spectrum extract types. You can choose from two strengths, their lower strength option provides 1,500 mg of CBD in a 30ml bottle, while their stronger option provides a massive 6,000 mg.
But that doesn’t mean that medium-sized doses are off the menu because if you need less than a full dropper, then you can just take a few drops of the stronger tincture to achieve the dose you need. If you buy one of their stronger tinctures (which is just $90) and then just take a few drops per dose, one bottle will last you for absolutely ages!
I tried the CBD PM which contained 1,500mg of CBD, combined with a ton of other botanical ingredients, such as valerian root, chamomile, hops, and other herbs to help aid relaxation and promote overall calm.
The berry flavor is delicious and I love taking it around half an hour before I plan on going to bed. I don’t usually have any problems falling asleep, but I tend to wake up a lot, tossing and turning, and feel very tired in the morning because of it.
When I take this tincture, I definitely feel the calm feeling sweep over me, which is my cue to climb into bed, and then once I’m asleep I actually stay asleep for hours at a time. It’s not a magical remedy that fixes my sleep problems, but when I take it, I wake up wayyyyy less often and feel much more rested the next day. I’ll take it.

cbdMD freeze review
cbdMD Freeze roller was voted product of the year in 2020 in the Consumer Survey of Product Innovation. So, it was no great surprise to me when I found out for myself just how effective this topical is!
It comes in a range of strengths including 750 mg, 1,500 mg, or 3,000 mg of CBD. Then, alongside the CBD, it also has added menthol, arnica, tea tree, and aloe vera, so it’s just packed with ingredients that can help to reduce swelling and pain.
- CBD has been shown to demonstrate analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties, useful in treating inflammatory and neuropathic pain
- Menthol is well known to offer comfort and pain relief, as well as a pleasant cooling sensation.
- Arnica is commonly used for osteoarthritis, bruising, and swelling, thanks to its pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory properties.
- Tea tree is a potent anti-inflammatory that also has pain relieving properties.
- Aloe vera is another famous anti-inflammatory that is also very soothing.
I was sent the 1,500 mg Freeze Roller and I gave it to my neighbor because he has far more need for a product like this than me.
He suffers from terrible joint pain from arthritis and he said it really helped him get going in the morning. He also commented on the fact that the roll-on application made getting the CBD to where he needed it most much easier, as he’s not as flexible as he used to be.

cbdMD prices
Over the years cbdMD noticed that some people needed a lot more CBD than others to help relieve their symptoms. Take chronic pain, for example, we know CBD works for pain, but the amounts needed are often +100mg.
When you need to take hundreds of milligrams of CBD per day to help manage your chronic pain, seizures, or spasms, for example, the monthly cost of sourcing it from a quality company can become prohibitive for many people.
That’s why cbdMD decided to turn their business plan on its head and started producing much stronger products for a fraction of the price.

The website is easy to navigate and I especially love how easy it is to find product information, such as ingredients and lab results. They’re all right there on the product page, with the product in question (why doesn’t everyone do this?!).
The only problem is, the website has all of their new products and prices, but hasn’t yet been updated properly, so you’ll still find some older information regarding products they’ve discontinued. For example, their Freeze Roller product page talks about a 300 mg option which doesn’t exist anymore.
cbdMD brand
The brand and company itself is really great in my opinion and definitely deserving of our support. I respect the decision they made to increase their product strength and lower their prices, as I also believe that good quality, clean, and safe CBD should be made accessible to all (I’m actually from the UK originally so am a massive advocate of free/affordable healthcare in general!).
cbdMD have all their products tested by third-party labs to prove their product’s potency and purity, meaning their products are tested for strength, but also tested for any potential impurities, such as pesticides, heavy metals, residual solvents, microbials, and mycotoxins.
From my own experience, their customer service is also spot on and with thousands of loyal and returning customers, I really don’t think you can go wrong with buying your CBD from this company.

The final word
It’s clear to see that cbdMD is already a great help to a wide range of people when it comes to relieving symptoms such as pain, anxiety, stress, muscle spasms, and more.
