DoorDash deals this weekend, holiday workshops at Tripli-Kit and free pumpkin spice dipped cones, here’s what’s popping up as the gingerbread season kicks off.

If you’re a big softie for pumpkin spice, Wienerschnitzel has something nice. Starting Black Friday through Sunday, the world’s largest hot dog chain is treating guests to a free pumpkin-spice dipped cone with any purchase.

Door Dash is celebrating mom-and-pop diners, neighborhood cafés, and local restaurants on Saturday and Sunday. They are encouraging customers and L.A. residents to dine locally as they shop small with $5 off $10 or more when you order from select restaurants on DoorDash and use the promo code EATLA.
Participants include Jon & Vinny’s, Bay Cities Italian Deli, Uncle Paulie’s Deli, Dave’s Hot Chicken, Chicas Tacos and Lazy Daisy of Beverly Hills. That means you can get Chicas Tacos’ famous beer-battered fish taco with Caesar salad on top for free or just an excuse to get those famous braised meatballs from Jon & Vinny’s for a bit less.
A lineup of holiday workshops are scheduled for the next few weeks at the Playa Vista culinary retail shop Tripli-Kit at RUNWAY, as well as the 2nd annual gingerbread house competition. The store is owned and curated by Top Chef season 14 winner Brooke Williamson and her husband and co-owner Nick Roberts.
Thursday, December 5: Crystal Wreath Making Workshop with Tiny Bandit and Fun Fete LA from 7-10 p.m. Priced at $60/person, all supplies will be provided, as well as drinks and light snacks. (Ticket link)

Starting Wednesday, Cassell’s Hamburgers begins celebrating their 70th Anniversary with a special guest chef series for seven days, from 6 p.m. to close (while supplies last). The series will kick off with Nancy Silverton on Wednesday, December 4 and continue through Tuesday, December 10. Other guest chefs include Jude Parra of Majordomo, George Motz of Motz’s Burgers, Sammy Monsour of Preux & Proper and more.
