19-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed in DUI Collision near Pebble Creek Parkway

GOODYEAR, AZ (September 14, 2022) – Early Tuesday morning, Carson Smith was fatally struck by Christopher Clark in a crash on Interstate 10.

Police responded to the scene on September 13th, at around 1:50 a.m., near Pebble Creek Parkway.

According to reports, Clark drove through a red light and struck a motorcyclist as well as another vehicle.

First responders arrived at the scene and found 19-year-old Smith unconscious on the highway. Paramedics transported the severely injured victim to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile, 40-year-old Clark was taken into custody with DUI charges, vehicular manslaughter, aggravated assault, and reckless driving.
