Traffic Accident on Eucalyptus Street Left Suspect Arrested

VICTORVILLE, CA (July 21, 2022) – Tuesday morning, authorities arrested 29-year-old Carlos Ascanio in a hit-and-run crash on Topaz Avenue.

The incident happened on July 19th, at around 9:06 a.m. near the intersection of Topaz Avenue and Eucalyptus Street.

According to police, a driver of a white Lexus crashed into a semi-truck and fled the scene on foot. Deputies gave chase and were able to subdue the suspect by deploying a taser.

Afterward, medical personnel evaluated and transported Ascanio to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Ascanio was later booked and charged with hit-and-run, among other charges.
