31-Year-Old Dies in Traffic Accident on China Gluch Road

REDDING, CA (July 5, 2022) – Police identified Carl Schulte as the driver involved in a fatal crash on Canyon Road, Tuesday morning.

According to the authorities, the collision happened just before 5:00 a.m. east of China Gulch Road.

Furthermore, the California Highway Patrol claimed that a man was running along the lanes of Canyon Road when he accidentally entered the path of a 1999 GMC.

Police said the 31-year-old pedestrian sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.

Meanwhile, police have not yet identified the victim pending notification of next of kin.

Later on, the authorities identified the GMC driver as 54-year-old Schulte of Redding.

At this time, Shasta County Officials continue to investigate the Canyon Road pedestrian crash.
