Injury Reported after Car Slams into Home near Railroad Avenue

SANTA MARIA, CA (October 29, 2021) Tuesday afternoon, one victim was injured after a car crashed into a house on West Alvin Avenue.

Police responded to reports of a car crashing into a residence on the 700 block of West Alvin Avenue. Dispatchers arrived around 2:55 p.m.

According to police, the driver claimed to have mechanical problems and swerved to avoid traffic, but instead veered into a house.

Minor injuries were sustained by the driver as a result of the collision. Per reports, drugs and/or alcohol were not factors in the incident.

Fortunately, there was no one inside the house at the time. Meanwhile, the cause of the collision is still being investigated.
