Cannabis Now Media (“CNM”) one of California’s leading cannabis media companies, took a strategic step in expanding its strategic vision by recently opening a branded retail and wellness experience at The Beverly Connection. Founded in 2010, CNM focuses on news, politics, legislation, horticultural advancements, social change, economic trends and education. Its founder and CEO, Eugenio Garcia became interested in the media space during the period he was consulting in the cannabis industry. Mr. Garcia recognized the lack of a balanced voice for the cannabis consumer. Cannabis Now magazine became the first cannabis publication since the 1970s to be widely distributed coast to coast and the first nationally distributed cannabis magazine since 1974 to be accepted and sold at Barnes & Noble. In June 2017, believing in the potential for hemp legalization, Mr. Garcia successfully launched Hemp Today Media, the publisher of HEMP magazine, the first nationally distributed hemp-only publication. With hemp’s legalization under the 2018 U.S. Farm Bill, this was this was quite the prescient decision.
