It's the big question for Angelenos following LeBron James' announcement last night that not only is he going with the Miami Heat next season, but a super-team including Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh will sandwich him with talent: Can this titanic trio block the Lakers' shot at a three-peat NBA championship next year?

Los Angeles Times sports writers Mike Bresnahan and Broderick Turner break it down, reporting that Vegas is already betting on the Heat over the Lakers. But former Lakers guard Ron Harper is keeping his chips on purple and gold:

Look, Miami has got 2½ great players. Bosh, he's all right. Don't get me wrong, he's a good player. But he's not as great as Wade and LeBron

He says, “I still think the Lakers are the team to beat.”

Everybody knows there are no half-points (or pints) in basketball.
