45-Year-Old Woman Fatally Struck by Train near Railroad Avenue

SANTA CLARITA, CA (February 1, 2022) – Thursday morning, 45-year-old Camille Rich was killed in a train collision on 13th Street.

Around 10:30 a.m., officers received reports of a woman that was hit by a train near the intersection of 13th Street and Railroad Avenue.

Later identified as a Newhall resident, 45-year-old Rich was pronounced dead at the scene. At this time, further circumstances leading up to the incident remain under active investigation.

The deadly collision led to the full closure of the railroad crossing for several hours. The Metrolink Antelope Valley Line had to redirect passengers via Uber for most of Thursday, according to reports.
