Four Killed in Separate Accidents on Highway 101

GOLETA, CA (August 31, 2021) – Wednesday, Cameron Martinez, Natalia Stallworth, Daniel Garcia and Eryka Lopez were killed in an accident.

The first collision occurred soon after 2:00 a.m., on northbound Highway 101 near Winchester Canyon Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, 31-year-old Cameron Martinez crashed and died at the site after colliding with another car. According to reports, the second driver fled the scene.

The second crash happened shortly before 2:30 a.m., in the southbound lanes just north of Dos Pueblos Canyon Road.

According to CHP, 28-year-old Natalia Stallworth, of Santa Barbara, was heading north in the southbound lanes when she struck another car. Both cars became engulfed in flames.

Stallworth was pronounced dead, as were the two passengers in the second automobile, Daniel Garcia, 25, and Eryka Lopez, 23, all of Santa Maria.

CHP investigators are investigating whether drugs and/or alcohol were involved.

Meanwhile, an active investigation is still currently underway.
