A few weeks ago, we suggested a few workshops where you can learn all about coffee — roasting, brewing, tasting and so on — and now we have yet one more class to add: This week, Cafecito Organico will host one-hour tasting classes focused specifically on comparing and contrasting several different coffees from Guatemala. For those of you who have ever wondered how beans grown in one part of a country may be wholly distinct from coffee grown in another region of that same country, this is the class for you.

During the class, coffee will be brewed using both a Clever Dripper and a steel coffee dripper, so you'll also have a chance to taste the difference that brew method makes.

The first of this monthly workshop will be at Cafecito's Malibu location today (Wednesday) at 1 p.m. Another class will be offered at its Costa Mesa location on Thursday at 6 p.m., and Cafecito's East Hollywood cafe will hold its class on Friday at 6 p.m. Classes are $10, and you'll be sent home with a bag of coffee from your choice of region. If interested, you can reserve your spot on Cafecito Organico's website.
