This month, Cafe Dulce turns one year young, and what a first year it's been for the Little Tokyo shop: it was one of our favorite newish coffee shops to open in 2011, and we continue to adore its selection of Korean cheesesteaks, bacon doughnuts and other delicious savories.

In honor of its first birthday, the café is throwing itself a bit of a bash on Saturday. From 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., customer favorites Dulce Lattes and green tea doughnuts will be available for just $1, and there also will be hourly raffle drawings for various prizes, including a dozen of those green tea doughnuts. Happy birthday, Cafe Dulce. We hope it'll be just the first of many doughnut-infused parties to come.
