Three armed robbery suspects broke into the giant Burlington Coat Factory in Inglewood around 7:10 a.m., reports KNX news radio — then found themselves faced with the morning cleaning crew. “About a dozen” employees total, says KNX. So the robbers reportedly took them hostage, lining them up on the floor while they gathered their loot.
However, Inglewood police soon had the place surrounded. And by about 8:30 a.m. …
… according to various news outlets, the suspects had given up. They were ready to negotiate.
Only one problem: They couldn't figure out how to get the front doors open.

News helicopters captured the ski-masked suspects attempting to break back through the doors and into the front parking lot, where a SWAT team was waiting — to no avail.
So finally, police just took it upon themselves to break the glass out themselves. The hostages and suspects had to climb through the jagged hole, one by one, and climb into police vehicles to be hauled back to the station.
As of 9 a.m., they're still coming. Fox11 live feed here.
