The second annual Show Your Scars Fest, “a day to celebrate underground metal, punk, grindcore, doom and more,” filled to capacity the Regent Theater downtown. This year's theme was “Dia de los Metaleros,” and the headliners were controversial L.A.-born death metal band Brujeria. Joining them on the eclectic bill were Michigan grindcore pioneers Repulsion, iconic NYC punks The Casualties, California's gore enthusiasts Exhumed, L.A.'s occult doomsters Ides of Gemini and Tex-Mex punk-rockers Piñata Protest.
