75-Year-Old Bruce Nelson Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 104

POULSBO, WA (September 02, 2021)Bruce A. Nelson, 75, of Poulsbo, lost his life Monday morning after a deadly two-vehicle crash on Highway 104.

The incident happened around 10:00 a.m. August 23 on Highway 104.

According to the WSP, Nelson was driving eastbound on the highway in a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu while a 2019 Mack dump truck was driving west.

Nelson’s Chevy allegedly crossed into oncoming traffic as he approached a curve, striking the front of the Mack truck.

Unfortunately Bruce Nelson died as a result of his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, medics airlifted the 52-year-old Port Angeles man driving the truck, who suffered serious injuries, to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

In addition, debris from the crash struck a third vehicle, a Toyota Rav4. However, none of the occupants were hurt.

An active investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing.
