In an effort to help the restaurant community, Top Chef winner and Playa Provisions owner Brooke Williamson, who has had to shutter three of her four restaurants due to the pandemic, will be handing out free holiday care packages today for restaurant industry workers. It will be first-come, first-served starting at noon in the parking lot at Playa Provisions until they run out – and of course, masks are mandatory.
At the same time, Williamson will unveil L.A. artist John Park’s Never Stop mural on the side of her remaining restaurant, which shows the chef surrounded by dozens of team members eager to get back to work. The process and Williamson’s struggle, is documented in a 60 Seconds Docs video, part of a cross-country campaign profiling the American spirit.
