Broke L.A. (formerly known as Brokechella) kicked off with a bang for the seventh year in a row on Saturday, April 8. For the first time, the festival was not held on the same weekend as Coachella, and it was moved to a new, larger space in East L.A. For all those looking for weird new musical and visual experiences without the mega-festival price tag, this was the place to be. Anything from comedy acts to furry EDM DJs, experimental food trucks to nostalgic jungle gym equipment could be found on the sprawling warehouse grounds.
