27-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Semi-Truck Accident near Wellsona Road

PASO ROBLES, CA (September 3, 2024)Brianna Mae Thomas died Wednesday afternoon, in a big-rig crash on northbound Highway 101. Police officers responded to the scene around 12:15 p.m., near Wellsona Road on August 28th. According to reports, Thomas was driving a 1990 Cadillac El Dorado eastbound on Wellsona Road when he entered the northbound lanes of the freeway. The Cadillac failed to yield and collided with a 2024 Freightliner that was hauling an empty 2018 GDAN. Investigators noted that the Freightliner’s driver, 44-year-old Levi Adams, was unable to avoid the collision. First responders found both vehicles partially obstructing the traffic lanes. Paramedics arrived and pronounced 27-year-old Thomas dead at the scene. Additionally, crews managed to contain the spillage, and the roadway has since been reopened to traffic. Authorities have not released further details, and the crash remains under investigation.
