Traffic Accident on Rubicon Court Left One Fatality

SAN RAFAEL, CA (June 20, 2022) – Officials arrested Brian Phillips after a fatal pedestrian crash on Rubicon Court, Tuesday night.

The accident happened at 9:23 p.m. on June 14th in the area of Rubicon Court.

According to reports, the driver of a Land Rover struck a female pedestrian in the area for reasons currently unknown.

Meanwhile, it is unknown why the pedestrian was standing in the roadway prior to the crash.

Responding paramedics declared the woman dead at the scene. The identity of the woman remains unknown at this time.

Moreover, officers took custody of the driver, identified as 39-year-old Brian Philips, and arrested him under suspicion of DUI, causing great bodily injury, and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.

Authorities are still reviewing the crash for additional details. More information will be provided as soon as it is available.

An active investigation into the crash is underway.
