Man Struck and Killed by Amtrak Train on 17th Street in Santa Ana
SANTA ANA, CA (December 30, 2021) – 53-year-old Brian Crosby lost his life on Saturday after a train accident on 17th Street.
The pedestrian crash took place at the intersection of 17th Street and Lincoln Avenue around 12:20 p.m.
According to the CHP, a southbound Amtrak train struck Crosby for still unknown reasons. However, officials said a railroad crossing barrier and flashing red lights were present prior to the crash.
Responding officers pronounced Crosby dead at the scene.
CHP continue to investigate why the man was on the tracks at this time.
Furthermore, police closed the area for several hours as they clean and investigate the fatal train accident on 17th Street and Lincoln Avenue.
