Breathe Carolina at the Academy: Denver electronic duo Breathe Carolina play the Academy in LA on a bill with Niiko X Swae, Tate Sedar, and E.B.T. It’s been a few years since the last full album, so expect a career spanning set.

The band gradually went from an electro-punk direction to more EDM with elements of pop and rock. The electro became more prominent and polished on 2019’s most recent record Dead: The Album.

Of late, the BC boys have been working with other artists including Hunter Hayes and Kaleena Zanders. But it’s going to be interesting to see what they pull out for this set.

Meanwhile, opener Niiko X Swae are, according to a press release, “At the forefront of dance and electronic music since 1998, Thrive has been home to many visionary artists with a wide sonic range, and releases from underground classics to multiple Grammy-nominated albums. Thrive Music continues to make the best out of 2020 with another smashing release, after notable ones including successful singles fromLP Giobbi, Krewella, Raja Kumari, Nitti Gritti, and Black Caviar, among others.”

Get there early.

Breathe Carolina at the Academy: The event takes place at 10 p.m. on Saturday, April 30 at the Academy LA.
