The Americana at Brand, already home to outlets of Din Tai Fung and Michael Mina's Bourbon Steakhouse, just announced a slew of new eateries that will serve as a major boon to Glendale's food scene.

According to Caruso Affiliated — the high-power real estate company behind both the Americana and the Grove — Glendale's new tenants will include Third Street poké specialist Mainland Poké, San Francisco café chain Philz Coffee, Greenleaf Gourmet Chopshop, Shake Shack and Eggslut. The latter, consistently mobbed Grand Central Market vendor is undergoing a rapid expansion, will soon open inside the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, with another location on deck for Venice sometime this year.

The plan is to have the storefronts laid out along Brand Street rather than tucked inside the mall itself, further cementing that stretch of downtown Glendale as a veritable restaurant row. The new eateries are expected to open sometime this fall, but no dates are set in stone yet.
