A scary sex crime is being reported out of Santa Monica.

A woman says two men who covered their faces with bandanas carjacked and sexually assaulted her over the weekend in the neighborhoods south of the Santa Monica Water Garden office complex.

Cops later found out that her car was involved in a hit-and-run.

Here's the time line of what the woman says happened:

-Shortly after 4 a.m. Saturday: The woman is returning from a trip to a CVS pharmacy, which is at 26th Street and Santa Monica Boulevard.

At 26th Street and Colorado Avenue the woman is carjacked by two suspects. Santa Monica police Sgt. Jay Trisler states what happened next:

” … She was immediately accosted by a gun-wielding suspect and an accomplice. The suspects entered the car and drove to the 1900 block of Stewart Street where the victim was sexually assaulted.”

Cops say the victim was left there and that her car was taken.

-4:15 a.m: Someone reports a hit-and-run on a parked car in the 2200 block of Delaware Avenue involving a vehicle matching the victim's.

The vehicle ended up abandoned behind a residence in the 2700 block of Kansas Avenue, not far away.

-5:19 a.m: More than an hour after the carjacking, attack and hit-and-run, the woman calls the cops from the 1600 block of Cloverfield Boulevard, just blocks away from the reported crimes.

She says she was kidnapped, attacked and robbed.

One Latino suspect was in his late teens or early 20s, 5 feet, 5 inches tall, with a heavy build and, according to cops, “waxed eyebrows.”

The other was also said to be in his late teens or early 20s, nearly 6 feet tall, weighing around 180 or so pounds, with a “skinny” build.
